The Rolex Deep Sea is a wearable Watch and a fantastic piece of engineering.Anyone can build a watch the size of a hockey puck or fill it with oil.It means nothing in the watch world, because it is not hard to do,and almost any brand could do it if they wanted to.Most of these watches are unwearable jokes.

Yes i have tried it on.And lets be honest it looks bloody comical on anyones wrist. It is not a watch people keep for very long.

No not at all.But it takes a really clever brand,to build a watch like the Deep Sea,and make it acceptable to wear for the public. There are many new technical solutions built into the DS,you should try to read about them.Sinn are a brand i respect very much indeed. But even Sinn have nothing like the DS.Sinn have usually used oil filled cases to reach extreme depths. But to be truthfull i think all watches made to reach these extreme depths, are a complete waste of time and money.

The Watch lounge is a bloody joke, used to promote brands. And i know the Rolex DS is a much more technicaly advanced watch than a Mickey Mouse brand like Swiss Military could ever make. Most of their bloody watches are built in China-Hong Kong etc etc, they are in my opinion not a serious watch manufacturer. They started out making knives, and decided to make some money, putting their brand name on watches.Let me put it this way, they have not yet made any watch worth collecting.

That watch puts the Rolex Sub and Dweller in their place. The most advanced dive watch of its time.It was years ahead of any dive watch in the world. That is what you can call a truly technical achievment.
