Ur-værker og deres kvaliteter, hvad ved jeg om det

the handwork and tradition built into a great caliber. No one can dispute that a workhorse
caliber that sits in over 90 % of all watches can be just as reliable as say a caliber that
sits in say a Lange or other high end brands.I do not like everything to be machine finished,
i like a little bit of soul ,and art built into the watches i wear. And to be honest i hate to
wear anything that millions of others wear if i can avoid it.But i must admit some of the greatest
watches ever made ,like the Speedy or the Sub have machine made workhorse calibers
inside them.
But if i had the choice between a machine made caliber,or a hand finished
caliber,i would pick the hand finished everytime.

heldigvis lidt for enhver smag - får jeg chancen vil jeg vælge et u-modificeret værk - basic standard - "Skelettering" "perlage" og alt det gøgl gør ikke noget godt for et værk.
In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.”
