Det er fint for beskyttelse af uret mod ridser m.v. men ikke mod tyveri.

I had a break in 10 years ago,they took everything of value.But they did not find my IWC or Rolex hidden in my sock draw.Pro thieves work very quickly,they just empty things on the floor,they do not examine each object they find.I had a friend in England he was a pro burglar for 25 years,and only served 18 months in prison.He was quite a wealthy man,and now runs a legitimate buisness.He told me about the sock trick.If you put the watch in the middle of a rolled sock,you hear nothing when the contents of a cuboard or draw are emptied on the floor.He only allowed himself a certain amount of time to search a house,speed is very important.Watch cases or safes are easy meat for a good thief.I know many other good places to hide valuables,but i will keep those to myself

Come on, Willy! Give os a hint on those clever hiding places! 

I am new to mechanical watches, and it IS a serious problem what to do with those babys.

I do not know you that well Gert,you might be a really good burglar.There are two types of thieves pros and amateurs,and they operate in different ways.But it is not difficult to fool them.I now have an Alarm and a very good Insurance.You could also make a little hole in the ground somewhere in the shed or garden.But then i suppose someone will tell me that thieves bring sniffer dogs with them today.

PS.Cannot be so hard to teach a dog how to scent watch oil
