Art never goes out of fashion.And many mechanical watches are works of art,because of the human element in them.There will always be a market for new gadgets.And already in the USA,i have read that smart watches have taken a slice of the lower end Swiss watch market.New and old, can and will exist side by side,one does not cancel out the other.To talk about one causing the downfall of the other is ridiculous in my opinion.You are talking as if all mechanical watch lovers are idiots who know nothing about quartz or electrical watches.There will always be a market for mechanical watches,and you can take that to the bank
