The new Explorer 11. 42mm is a much heavier watch than the sub . And to put it bluntly not so common . You should also look at the 16570 Explorer 40mm , you can still get them as new . The last series of these Explorers have a new caliber , and should increase well in value for the future . I found the new Explorer 42mm just a bit to big to double as a dress watch , but that depends on how big you are I know you want a new watch and the experience of visiting a AD , but most people on this site would never pay the premium on that experience In the end it is all down to what you like , both watches can make you happy .
