I think that watch nuts will always be a little more carefull with their watches than people who just buy a watch to use it.Many of us think that maybe we will sell our watches in the future.I would not use a Vintage,or a watch that is not built for it as a tool watch.My deep sea is built to be used and i use it for anything and do not care about scratches or dings.I think sometimes it is about how rich you are.If you have loads of money you might use your Patek or lange as your tool watch.But if you have saved for years to buy a patek or lange you would never do this.Keith Moon who was the drummer in the rock group The Who drove his Rolls Royce into his swimming pool and left it there.True story one of my friends had to lift it out when he died two years later.People who have a lot of money do not take the same care of things as people who have to save the money to repair them.
