does anyone know how strong a patek is?

I have owned a aquanaut,but never really used it in water.I have read a bit about how robust watches like offshore-nautilus are.But i have never seen a test of them.I wonder if they could stand up to really hard use.i would be intrested if anyone can enlighten me on this. willy
