watches or brands we dislike

Hate is maybe to strong a word to descibe a watch,hence dislike.Here is my list of watches or brands i dislike with a short explanation.Give us yours if you dare?
1.Hublot Big Bang=Poor AP Offshore copy with rubbish caliber for the price.
2.AP. Offshore.=Limited to death.Carbon models look like upmarket Casio G. Shocks.Nearly beats a Gold Rolex in the,Look at me i am rich circles.
3.Brietling=have been selling basic ETA calibers for years in shiny cases and at silly prices.But are improving with their new caliber.This brand proved there is one born every minute
4.Omega= the same as Brietling but the cases are not so shiny.
5.IWC.= The new Aquatimer could be a Brietling in disguise ,it is that bad.Keep up the bad work IWC and lose your identity and IWC lovers all over the world. Willy

De fleste vintage ure, de er ofte alt for små, og dårligt bygget.
Jeg ved godt der findes fede vintage, men der er godt nok også meget junk!!

Bad Built you must be joking Kristoffer.Many vintage watches were more hand built than most modern day watches.And the finishing and caliber quality is ten times better for ten times less money on most vintage watches.That IWC you just got has got a caliber finished in the old school way be happy about that.The reason this type of finishing is disapearing is because it costs to much.So believe me when i tell you many vintage watches are unbelievable quality for the money. Hate is a strong word, but Linde Werdelin comes close to that term for me. I used to like them, but then they revealed their true colors with the Oktopus II...... All design, no function. A brand that launches a diving watch and claims that the rotating bezel is unnessesary on dive watches because of the use of the computers - and at the same time is producing these computers to click on any watch in their own lineup, is a complete joke to me. Oktopus II is completely unnessesary in every aspect, yet they still charge a premium for it, while stuffing it with any random caliber they can find. Anyone who buys is and pays that amount of money for a divewatch that is not a divewatch, is just dumb.....And the worst part is that I suspect Linde Werdelin thinks so too. I mean come on. Why would you want to pay 8-9K EUR for a "dive" watch that only becomes a dive watch when you click on an instrument - When you could buy the cheapest model in the lineup and get the EXACT same capabilities in that watch, at a fraction of the price... Dumb Sh*t, point blank!

Hublot.For mig blot et overpriced "kopi" AP
Breitling.Mange standart dele til alt andet end standart pris måden de skal skinne på er heller ikke lige mig
LW. Ja de er danske men de siger mig intet hverken ude eller inde.

Så er der de mærker hvor det er et mix om jeg on eller off
AP.De laver rigtig meget fedt med der er altså set ud fra et ikke forretnings mæssigt synspunkt gået LE helvede i ROOeren
Omega.Alle deres latterlige reklame ure for den ene og anden person eller begivenhed trækker ned hos mig men de laver også flotte klassiske modeller.
JLC. Et mærke som jeg holder virkelig meget af men deres Aston Martin og NS modeller trækker ned big time hos mig (præcis som IWCs Top Gun ure)
urene er flotte og i den sædvanlige lækre kvalitet med der er altså for meget markedting ind over til at jeg kan sluge det

True many things are better on modern watches because we have machines to do the work on the simple things.But the heart of any watch is the caliber and in that respect most modern watches do not come close.Production costs mean that to buy a modern watch with the same amount of hand work and finish in a vintage watch,would cost you maybe a hundred times more.Machines are a wonderfull thing when people talk about watches with soul I bet there is more watchmaking skill involved in the making of a simple vintage Omega or IWC watch than you will ever see on the production line at Rolex or Brietling modern watches.The cleaning lady at these factorys could build these watches.And that is not a joke. Agree completly they are just another brand who tried to do something different but lost their way.But i have to take my hat off to them for trying.It is not easy to start a new watch brand in a small country like Denmark.But i always thought they were more about design than practibility. Willy

Problemet med de gamle omega ure er bare, at man ikke ved om det har tilhørt en dyrlæge. Hvis det har, er der stor sandsynlighed det har tilbragt det meste af sin tid, oppe i fordøjelseskanalen på et større klovdyr.
