I really do not care mechanical-quartz-handwound-automatik,it means nothing to me,unless it is very well made.I own two Rolex watches,a mechanical Milgauss and a Quartz Oyster.The caliber in the Quartz Oster is unique,and the caliber in the Milgauss is just ordinary in my eyes.

Hvordan kan du se om et quartz-værk er af høj eller mindre god kvalitet og hvor finder du sporene af godt håndværk i quartz-ure ?

Min påstand vil være at den store forskel ligger i at der er brugt tid og resurser på at få uret til at ligne et mekanisk ur ved hjælp af et tik-tak, mener du at det højner kvaliteten ?

En Quartz er ikke bare et Quartz for mig,
Motoren i en Timex og i en GS har måske samme navn, 
men er i min optik 2 vidt forskellige ting bla. Er jeg imponeret over hvordan de forsegler 
Et Quartz værk i en Seiko GS.

Med en baggrund som værktøjsmager og maskining. vil jeg til enhver tid foretrække et mekanisk ur. Ikke at der er noget galt med quartz, de er jo mere præcise og dermed et bedre ur? For mig er det tanken om den mekanik og det håndværk som gør at jeg kan aflæse tiden, om det så er manuelt eller automatisk optræk betyder mindre for mig. Det har jo hver sin charme, jeg nyder da at trække uret op om morgenen og lige føle det. På den anden side synes jeg også det er praktisk at det klare sig selv. Jeg har da et par ure fra min fortid med batteri og jeg kan bare mærke at jeg helst ikke vil have dem på. Det er jo ikke fordi det er dårlige ure, det er jo mine, men jeg kan bare mærke, at om så der stod A.Lange eller f.p. journe på skiven ville de ikke betyde en sk*d for mig, så længe de ikke var fuldstændig automatiske.
