There are quite a few Brands out there that rarely get a mention on Danish watch sites. All we hear about is Rolex Pam Omega etc etc.It can to say the least become a little boring now and again. Here are a few brands that are sold in Denmark and are worth a closer look.
Ebel Make good quality watches and some exceptional calibers such as the 288 and 245.
Baume & Mercier make exellent watches in the low price range and are good value for the money
Bulgari once considered to be just a fashion watch.Today many of their watches with inhouse calibers are a steal for the money on the used market. The finish and casework on their watches is second to none.
Montblanc are a brand that have very serious intentions to be known as a respected caliber and watchmaker. The old caliber makers Minerva are now a part of the brand:And with their own inhouse movements i think they are a brand worth looking at.
Zenith have been through a rough period where they lost their roots a bit.But now they are getting back to what made them one of the best caliber makers ever. They only supply their famous El primero calibers to a few select brands now.As a used buy a Zenith is real value for money. You get one of the worlds greatest true inhouse calibers in a watch that will cost you less than many of the ETA watches out there.
There are of course many other brands that deserve a mention maybe you know some? Willy Ps. Forgot to mention Maurice Lacroix who make some exceptional watches. They are a steal used.
