Well John as you know i had a Deep Sea for a while and i can agree with most of what you say about it.But in my opinion it has a few faults that cannot be ignored in a watch that is built and sold as a diver.But used by 99% as a desk diver.We cannot ignore the fact that it is a very thick watch and totally out of porportion to the bracelet.Even Rolex dealers have told me this is making the watch difficult to sell to your normal watch buyer.It is not everyone who can wear this watch,in fact it looks stupid on thin wrists.And i never usually hit my watch on doors but because of the hight of the case i did hit doors a few times.Another big problem in my book is that unlike a Sub or Dweller this watch looks out of place and over the top as a dress watch.It is just to much look at me,if you know what i mean.But Wow the finish and shine on the case and bracelet compair to the finish on a AP Offshore.And that is why i sold my DS it is not a dress watch and not a tool watch it belongs in its own special category.I could not relax wearing this watch it is so well made and beautiful i was afraid to scratch or dent it.I enjoyed owning the DS and never got tired of admiring the wonderfull details on it.But unfortunately it was not for me.
