willy Skrev:John it as been many years since Panerai were in the diving business.I know all about their history i learnt that when i was 10 years of age.They are a retro brand and if it was not for a lousy actor called slvester stallone they would be unknown today.They do not develop new ideas they live on their history and traditional design.So do not try to tell me they make serious modern dive watches.A rolex sub is hyper modern compaired to Panerai.And as you know Rolex gave them their first calibers etc etc.And your idea that Brietling made a lot of changes to the ETA caliber is just not true.Compaired to what IWC do to a ETA caliber Brietling are not even in the same class.You forget what i have said about the New brietling caliber that is a great piece of work.Come on John take the blinkers off and tell it as it really is.This is not about defending your favorite brand its about a few facts thats all.I mean i like IWC so i can still criticize many models and i do.Like i said Brietling can divide people but i did not say that everything they do is crap did i ? It is very funny sometimes on these bloggs how people seem to believe that everthing their favorite brand makes is fantastic Willy

Arhh .. den skal du sku' længere ud på landet med Rodney. Rolex hyper moderne i modsætning til Panerai??) <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> ... Rolex er ikke ligefrem kendt for at lave revolution i urverdenen! Vil nu sige at Rolex i mindst lige så høj grad som Panerai lever af deres historie og design - der er sku' ikke sket meget for Submarineren eller Datejusten etc de sidste 50 år!! Tror du sove lidt i time Rodney. Panerai har rykket mere på værksiden de sidste 5 år end Rolex de sidste 20! Panerai er også gået nye veje mht materialevalg til kasserne i for af både keramik og composite (de sidste dog med lidt dårligt resultat <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarrassed" /><!-- s:oops: --> )
Det sagt, så er jeg stor fan af begge mærker ... samt Bretiling, IWC, AP, Jaeger LeCoultre osv osv ... Synes faktisk at de fleste mærker laver nogle fede ure .. dog med plads til en enkelt skævert eller to inden for hver mærke
Tror det er dig som skal ha' justeret dine skyklapper lidt Rodney .... ment i bedste mening
