I would never buy a new Omega in the first place.But i think that as used watches they are a very very good buy.The new model has one point that makes it a better watch in my opinion,the bezel is far superior to the old model.The new model will push the old models down in price so its a good time to buy the older model. As a long time investment the first models will be the ones to collect.I think the new model is worth the extra new price because also the caliber has been improved .But i would not buy it new Willy
