I do not, and have never believed the watch industry is worse or better than any
other kind of industry.Where there is money involved,truth and money seldom
exist side by side.
                           Who walks into a car showroom,and believes every word the
salesman tells you? Only a very naive or stupid person would do this.
            No different in the watch world,you have to be some kind of fool if you
believe anyone who is financially involved in the watch sector tells you.
                  Yet we have people like this,writing books about watches,to critical
acclaim by people who should know better.Someone mentioned on this site
that we do not have any real watch experts,who can give a definite opinion
on a watch.This is of course bullshit,and another way of saying believe all you
are told.
                   There are ways to find out if a watch is good or bad,or worth
the money.But it takes effort and time on the internet,and a lot of reading.
We do not have a FDM or any such organisations like this, to test our products in the
watch industry.

                      Years ago on many watch sites,there where real experts like
Walt Odets-Carlos Perez et etc,who stripped watches down and told the bare
truth about them.
                   But unfortunately the watch industry,did not like this,so they gained
control of many sites and watch platforms,and they froze these kind of people
out,or gave them jobs promoting their watches.
                     Today most sites would never allow this kind freedom to exist.
People think they have become more tolerant today,i think they are the opposite
of this.
                      I go onto the Rolex Forum everyday,and what i see is very disturbing.
If you dare to criticise a watch on there,you will get so many nasty replies telling
you that you do not know what you are talking about.This flock mentality is a
terrible thing to behold.People cannot accept that others do not agree with them,
and it goes from talking about a subject or watch,to personal attacks on the person
who dared give a different point of view.Why they all have to air their discontent
at the same time,and repeat the same argument is a mystery to me.
