Well i have to agree with everything Cfnissen as just written.

It is very difficult,if not impossible for a watch site to remain critical and independent
in this day and age.It takes a lot of work and effort to build up a site with maybe millions
of readers.And who can blame some of them for wanting to reap the financial rewards
for all the hard work.It is after all ,only human to do so.

I have been reading many sites for many years,and to get a honest opinion about a 
watch,is getting harder and harder.
                    I tend more and more to go on watch bloggs,and read the opinions of
ordinary people who have tried the watches in real life.
 
                        There is one way,i believe watch lovers could buck this trend.
That is by contributing financially to independant watch reviewers.This can be done,
and one of the best examples of this,is a man called Allan Hawke who reviews fishing
reels.He is well worth a read,and the influence he has gained over the biggest producers
of fishing equipment in the world.
                       All we need is a few trained watchmakers to start doing what Mr. Hawke
does.It would make for very interesting reading,when watches could be taken apart,and
we got the true story behind them.

                        Maybe this is just a pipe dream on my part,but i honestly believe it is
about the only way to separate our hobby from commercial interest.
