Salvador Dali painting Persistence of Memory.The Melting time has got many theories about
what Dali meant with this painting.I think he meant that the time we have only lasts for
a short time before it melts away.No doubt the Cartier watch was inspired by him.
Many say that he was the most influential artist of the twentieth century,and not
Picasso,and i agree with them
PS.Some say it was because of a watch involved in a car crash,i do not believe this story.
I believe it was invented to avoid paying royalties to the Dali estate.
