My son received the old model,when he got his student hat.The design of this diver 
is in my humble opinion the most beautiful of any diver excepting maybe the Fifty
Fathoms.The way it catches the light is fantastic,and it is not just another boring
Sub copy like most divers out there.One big criticism of the Omega is of course the 
bezel ,that is a ridiculous design for a dive watch.And if you do not believe this,try
turning it with a wet glove on.Another point is the increased thickness of the cases,
i think this is a backwards step,that Tudor and Omega are guilty of.But i think this
is mainly due to trying to get a longer power reserve,this has made many modern
calibers to thick in my opinion.But nothing takes away from the beauty of this watch,
it is a classic design that looks like nothing else you can buy.I have always believed
this watch is not the best diver you can buy,but nothing beats it for looks.
