Homage is the marketing departments word for a fake.

These watches can be well made,and can last for years.But they are stealing the designs
of other people,to make a quick buck.Trying to make it look respectable is a waste of
time.Because in the watch industry and especially with dealers,they are considered
worthless.Precista watches are better made than many fakes out there.This guy saw
a market out there,that he is exploiting to the full.Indeed he is copying anything
 he can get his hands on that has a bit of history.If he had done something original
i would have more respect for him.But in reality he is living off the design and history
of other brands.There will always be a market for this type of watch,because many
watch buyers cannot afford the real thing.And many of the famous brands of today
have prices that many people who like watches cannot afford.So is this a good reason
to buy a replica or so called homage watch? I think that is up to the individual,and
i personally could not care what they buy.But it is i think a good idea,to explain
to them,the real reason why people are making them,and why they are looked
down upon by the watch industry.
