Yes very interesting considering all the flak i took,when i dared to suggest that the luxury watch industry was heading for a decline.This is just not all about economy,it is also about the declining interest in mechanical watches.By trying to control watch sites,and critical content,the industry is cutting its own throat.When you take away critical debate,it becomes boring to read people who are just patting one another on the back.When will people learn that debate and controversy is the only thing that makes anything interesting.I bet that if you took a survey of the amount of people who visit watch sites today,it would show a big big drop compaired to say 10 years ago.And before anyone tries to tell me the usual fairy story,that watch sites mean nothing to watch sales.Just try to remember that it was and is collectors and watch nerds who created the used watch market,and thus created interest in the new.This is why Patek and Rolex amongst others bought their own watches at auctions.They know how important people like us are to the industry.Greed and the need to controll,has backfired on them.
