Its worth remembering that most dive watches made by most high end brands,are only well known in the eyes of watch nerds.They do not in reality have any place in the history of dive watches used by professionals or indeed amateur divers worldwide.Branding is the only thing that tries to give them a place in history.Seiko have a real history and so do Rolex.The others have just tried to create their own history,with the help of a few famous people with diving as a hobby.A great example of this trend is the JLC Navy Seal watch.You will never see this on the wrist of a real Seal,because no.1 it is to expensive,and no 2 it is one of the worst dive watches i have worn.The design and function of this watch shocked me,when i wore it for a few days.It would not last for 5 minutes of hard military use.
