What are complication watches really worth

It seems that it is almost everyday that i read about a new fantastic complication watch on some watch site.Have you ever wondered how many of these watches actually are made and sold.Or do you think like i do,that most of them are just a means of getting publicity for the brands who make them?
                          I personally have not seen many of these watches for sale anywhere.Maybe rich people buy them,and throw them away when they get dirty
                                                Would it not be nice if some of these so called watch making geniuses,put a bit of effort into improving the everyday watches most of us wear?Give us a months power reserve in every mechanical watch.Give us permanent lume,without having to shine a bloody light on our watches.Give us watches that do not scratch,if you look at them in the wrong way.Give us watches that only need servicing every twenty years.
                                                 I am so bored with these complications.Do they want a pat on the back,and someone to tell them how clever they are?I think the end is just about reached, concerning what you can do with a mechanical time piece.And most of these watches are about as reliable as a bus full of junkies.
