Tænker om Omega er bedst til at trimme ETA værkerne som deres egne og Breitling er bedre til at lave
finish på kasse etc. etc. Blot eksempler.

Omega and ETA is the same,so Omega do not trim calibers.Rolex are the best case makers Brietling do not even come close to Rolex in this aspect.All brands make good and bad watches,it does not matter what the name of the brand is.
                                       In the old days there were brands who specialised in dive or pilot watches ,or dress-complications etc etc.But today with so many new players in the market,the lines are not so clear anymore.
                                            IWC are maybe the most varied brand in the world in this aspect .They have made some of the most classical watches in almost any field you can think of .I can think of no other brand who have made great complication watches and Classic pilot and dive watches.And of course classic dress watches also.They are i think quite unique in this aspect.
                                     Brands like Sinn and Nomos both make watches today,that quality and price wise leave many of the older brands in the shade.My advice would be to research any type of watch you are interested in.Because no brand today is very far in front of the competition.Many of the older classic brands are just happy to live on their past great models,and really bring nothing new to watchmaking.I own two Rolex watches,but i recently got a Sinn.And the reason i did this is because i think Sinn are still developing their watches,Rolex are not.Rolex just try to improve their existing models.While Sinn are working to make cases harder and scatch proof.There are no fixed guide lines in buying watches today.Google for a few days before buying any brand of watch,it will pay you in the end.
PS:Brietling had a Classic period in the past,then they had many years of bling watches with ETA calibers inside that were grossly overpriced.Today they are getting some respect Again,by developing their own calibers and not making watches that resemble a Christmas tree on steroids
