To Issing.Of course Rolex were not the only brand to supply watches to the British military.I was in the military for ca.10 years,and worked together with many branches of this.I was just trying to explain in simple terms that in the Royal Navy Special Boat Service only Rolex were issued at the time of Flemming and Bond.Do not try to assume that what i write is without back ground knowledge.I served with the people who used these watches,you did not.
                                            Rolex built their reputation for reliability and toughness,because Military personal swore by them.No other brand even came close.The only reason they are no longer standard issue to elite units is because of the price.Bond who being a ex navy commander was of course in the book equiped with a Rolex.He did not however have the background from a elite unit.But Rolex watches were to be seen on the wrists of thousands of Royal navy personal,and they were not standard issue.Most were bought in the Far East because they were so much cheaper to buy there for British servicemen.JD is a nice guy who has answered many questions for mr in the past.He can maybe tell you why the Sub is the most well known watch in the Royal Navy.

                                      Please in the future,try to keep to the subject.Your stupid comments about what i mean or do not mean,are out of place in a serious debate.Everyone has a right to their opinions.I always stick to the subject and only comment on out of place remarks like yours.

PS. IWC-Omega-Smiths et etc have all supplied watches for military use.I however saw none of them on the wrists of Royal Navy personal,and none of them were standard issue at the time of Bond.
