The brand will however in my opinion be stigmatized for years to come, as being primarily a company producing luxury pens. People can dispute that, but I have yet to see a MB in the wild and to me that says a lot.
And for the prices they are commanding for some of their high-end watches, I personally believe most of the collectors with that kind of scratch, will go for something more “safe” and well known.

I do not believe anyone will stigmatize Montblanc,after all Lamborghini used to build tractors .Because you have not seen one in the wild,does not mean much.You are right about some so called collectors not buying them.I prefere not to call them real collectors,i prefere the word Sheep. MB have a good reputation,and they are taking their step into the watch market very seriously.I do not know if they will succeed,but it is a bit early to start to write them off.
