Swatch Group - reservedele, hvad nu?

How can people be critical about watch brands,who in the minds of many watch nerds cannot do wrong. Swatch are just doing what many high end brands have been doing for years.When will people wake up to the fact,that brands have no morals concerning customers.Its all about money,but many who cannot see longer than the end of their own nose,will still keep on believing that brands have morals or concerns for their customers.How naive can you get?But in this world people often get what they deserve.This is just another nail in the coffin for mechanical watches,and it is what you get for not being critical of watch brands.
                          The general public will not even realise what is happening.They will  in time,just abandon mechanical watches.But nothing new here,the mechanical watch industry is already in decline.If only watch enthusiasts had created a organisation for themselves,like  car users have with say the danish FDM.Swatch are doing something that the EU put a stop to when the motor industry tried to do the same.Now you can get your car serviced anywhere,and you are not forced to use manufacturer workshops.Swatch are trying to do the same,without breaking the law

                                              This will only really have an effect over time,like PN said.I made up my mind a few years ago,that i would not buy watches from certain brands ever again,because of their high service prices and lousy service.AP and Patek are top of my never buy list.Last time i sent a time date only watch to Patek,it took 6 months before i got it back again.But believe it or not,we still have some people who believe this is acceptable behaviour.But to be fair Patek are not the only brand who offer this kind of lousy service.And guess what? They will not be the last.Watch nerds in general are a uncritical bunch,they care more about other people patting them on the back,than the problems that can back fire on them.

                                     I for one am very very sorry about what is happening to something i love.But i feel more sorry for all the watchmakers out there,that are getting their livelihoods taken from them.The Swatch group are digging their own grave,by destroying the very people that made the mechanical industry great in the first place.And after the Japanese Quartz threat that nearly destroyed the Swiss watch industry,who was it that created the resurge of mechanical watches?It was the watchmakers and enthusiastic watch nerds that created Time Zone and thousands of other watch sites around the world.And this is how they repay them! The only comfort i get from all of this,is the knowledge that they are digging their own graves for their future demise.
