                                             That is like compairing a Rolls Royce to a Audi.And totally unfair to Rolex.Lange only make 6000,so with your way of thinking Patek cut corners.Rolex are not high end,so it is wrong to compair them in this way.But Rolex do not cut corners,and this is what makes them a great brand.And a brand that all watches in their price class are measured against.I can also inform you that in the watch industry Rolex cases are considered to be the best of the best,even Lange or Patek cannot beat them.
                                       Walt is one of my watch idols.But because he criticised one Rolex caliber,does not mean he did not admire Rolex.To be able to make 1000,000 watches a year with such a high standard of quality is nothing short of a miracle.The Rolex production method is absolutly unbelievable.Rolex do not strive to make high end watches.They strive to make the strongest and most reliable watches with superb quality built into each watch.I can criticise Rolex just like any other brand,but i can also see the great things they have achieved.And to call the finish of the calibers middle of the road is a bit unfair,because compaired to many watches in the Rolex price range their finish is quite good.

If you take Rolex Cellini collection the cases are proberly like PP and Lange I assume., but yes the Oystercases are strong, but the steel may make a bit of a difference because many other watchcases of other brands make them also very strong. The oystercase it not so special anymore.

Yes I agree the production of Rolex is amazing, since they can make 1 mill watches a year in that quality, but not everything is top knock. It cannot be. 

I don´t know if the finish is super in Rolex. According to Walt it is medium compared to many other much cheaper watches. However when you zome so much with a cammera that he does I guess it is easy to see some flors.
I dont know Walt oppinion on Rolexwathes in general. In my oppinion they are the one that can market there product the best.
