(11-11-2015, 03:23 PM)willy Skrev: Anything in the lower price classes, with a bog standard mechanical caliber means nothing to me.I would rather have a watch with a high end quartz caliber,ex-Seiko - Rolex. Most mechanical calibers made today have absolutly no future value what so ever. They are spit out in the millions. Not like many vintage calibers that do have a degree of watchmaking built into them.A high end quartz caliber is better made and more reliable, than most of the mechanical junk out there.
I really do not care mechanical-quartz-handwound-automatik,it means nothing to me,unless it is very well made.I own two Rolex watches,a mechanical Milgauss and a Quartz Oyster. The caliber in the Quartz Oster is unique, and the caliber in the Milgauss is just ordinary in my eyes.
Hej Willy
Hvordan kan du se om et quartz-værk er af høj eller mindre god kvalitet og hvor finder du sporene af godt håndværk i quartz-ure ?
