Anything in the lower price classes, with a bog standard mechanical caliber means nothing to me.I would rather have a watch with a high end quartz caliber,ex-Seiko - Rolex. Most mechanical calibers made today have absolutly no future value what so ever. They are spit out in the millions. Not like many vintage calibers that do have a degree of watchmaking built into them.A high end quartz caliber is better made and more reliable, than most of the mechanical junk out there.
I really do not care mechanical-quartz-handwound-automatik,it means nothing to me,unless it is very well made.I own two Rolex watches,a mechanical Milgauss and a Quartz Oyster. The caliber in the Quartz Oster is unique, and the caliber in the Milgauss is just ordinary in my eyes.
