PBR. To even believe that the Danish monarchy is any different from the English is naive . The same systems exist in all monarchys . If people need this institution to make them feel that they belong , and to give themselves a sense of pride in their country . Then i really feel sorry for them . Are we really so indoctrinated that we cannot live without someone to look up to . If this is the case , then it just confirms my belief that who ever controlls the press always controlls the minds of a population . Generations to come will look back with a smile on their faces , when reading about institutions like the monarchy . And i think with a sense of disbelief about a system that could make adults look like a flock of adoring children , who still needed a father figure to look up to .

And all the ridiculous propoganda about a sense of pride in our countries . Wake up ! You cannot name one country that has not commited crimes against humanity in the name of nationalism . It is not the institutions we should look up to , but we should feel a sense of pride in the humanity shown by the people who live in these countries . I was born in England and have lived over the half of my life in Denmark . I can see positive and negative things in both countries . But in reality the world is my home , and i do not need a ridiculous institution to make me feel at home . I leave that to the people . And if i feel any pride in Denmark , then it is for the great humanity shown by most of the people who live here .
