Torben very interesting reading . But what you left out is even more interesting . A quite well known professor from Oxford university once said . The best thing that could happen for the english people would be to abolish the monarchy . He went on to explain how the old boy network and honours list has created a moral corruption in society . You really have to be deaf and blind not to see that this corruption has followed royalty from the beginning of time . It is unavoidable when you give people a position based purely on birthright , and without the chance of democratic change . When i am told that they have no real power , i really have to laugh at the lack of knowledge some people have . This network exists in Denmark , where the people with real power gather around the monarchy just like they do in England .

A president elected by the people for the people is the only morally fair way . And we would not have to pay for the upkeep of his family - grand parents - cousins - nephews - childrens wives - dogs - cats - horses - rabbits - etc etc etc . And one home would be enough . Alone the money saved here would be enough to build the worlds biggest Disneyland , and attract about 1000% more tourists than our current welfare family . We would also save on pensions to the rabbits - dogs- cousins etc etc .

Believe it or not i am in no way political . And i have never voted in my life . I stopped believing fairy stories about politicians having real power many years ago . I would rather believe in a true free education and a end to the current corruption that means we live well , and the rest of mankind can beg for scraps from our table . For me it is not right in this day and age that anyone can have a position because of birthright .

We all know i think , that it is only a matter of time before they are gone for good . For me this cannot happen soon enough . As for the ridiculous contrived moral guidence they are supposed to give . Well sorry i would rather read Nelson Mandela or other people like him , who really have something of worth to give us . History will judge them in not a kind way . They have opposed nearly everything that makes our lives better , in their strivings to keep power and position . Women who support them today have forgotten their history lessons . They would not be able to vote if these people had retained political power .

Ask yourself . If an intelligent man landed on this planet from a far away galaxy . Do you think that without all the indoctrination and bullshit written about this family , he would except their right to be elevated above others by birthright alone ?

And the last great argument they use . Tradition . Well it used to be a tradition to cut the heads off criminals on national holidays . That says everything i have to say about that word .
