Watches Not Worth The Money

Thought it would be interesting to have a permenent thread where we all give our opinions on watches we think are overpriced . I know that nearly all watches can fit into this catergory But some watches are completly over the top .

I will start with a watch that is near the top of my overpriced list . The Hublot Big Bang is almost a standing example on how to fool the watch buying public into thinking they are getting something special in a watch that costs over 100.000 dkr . When in fact they are getting a common run of the mill ETA caliber in a design watch without a great deal of history behind it . These watches can only go down in value in the future , especially after Mr . Biver has left the ship . To be fair they do make some Big Bang models with top high end calibers , with out of house prestige calibers . I quite like the design of some Hublot Bang models , and if the used price was fair could consider buying one . And a fair price for me would be at least a 75% price saving !
