IWC is maybe my all time favorite brand . But i recent years they have made many watches that i think are rubbish . Unfortunatly under the
present leadership they have thrown nearly all of their great heritage out of the window . The watch you are looking at is in my opinion
nothing more than a design freak that caters to the present market for black watches . Used prices for many modern IWC models are going
down very quickly . They are today not a watch i would dream of buying from new , the write off is just to much . And the reason is that the
market knows that these watches have not got a lot to do , compaired to the older models . They have drasticly reduced the finish of their
watches , and it is all about quantity where their bread and butter models are concerned . They are spending more money on marketing
the brand than they use making the bloody watches To be fair they are not the only brand taking this path . They might make a short time
gain , but when you lose the reputation for nearly perfect quality it is not easy to win it back again .

In the old days when JLC supplied IWC with a caliber , IWC improved the working and the
finish of the caliber . Today they finish their calibers to workman like standard , and thats it . So if i was buying a watch in the 60-90000dk
segment , IWC would not be a watch i would even consider . I can think of to many brands today that give you much much more for the
same money . Believe me it pains me to write this about a brand i have liked for most of my adult life , but it is my opinion about them today.
My current daily watch is a IWC . But it was built when they really were a driving force in the watch industry , with the reputation for quality
only matched by Rolex .
