The only thing that you are getting wrong is that i was not talking about any specific watch. But limited watches in general.
A Speedy is a great watch and a classic. And Omega have made some beautiful versions of it in many varieties.
And of course they are marketing gimmicks, made to sell more watches by labeling them as limited.
And when they have milked that cow, until they have sold them all. You can bet your life they will release yet another limited edition.
And remember it is always better to get different opinions before making up your mind. In some ways i wish Limited did not have a stigma attached to it in the watch industry.
But many brands including Omega have helped to devalue what the word limited really means. And i agree with you that people will make up their own minds.
That is why a good debate like this one is important in that context. I have owned a few limited watches . And i bought them quite simply because i liked them, not because they were limited.
I think you have done the same , i hope
Even if a watch was limited to only 10 , i would not buy it if i did not like it.
But in the average watch buyers eyes the word Limited, conjures up the image of buying something that is rare and exclusive. And for the most, this is just not true .
