I can't really assess this myself. My watchmaker claims, Rolex are best. Rolex, Rolex, Rolex - I am fed up with it. Whenver I visit his workshop, full of pride, with my latest acquisition, the rarest, most beautifull watch, I can be certain that he has a freakin' Rolex from some clueless idiot on the workbench, and he shows me the parts, claiming all is so well made, that You can put them in bag, shake the whole thing, and every part falls into place out of it's own. By now, even I am certain that they are worth the money. But I still hesitate to spend 2 grand on a simple three hands watch...
I do know for certain from personal experience, that any Valjoux colum wheel chrono will behave like a spoilt diva, while any ugly 7750 will run forever.
As for the rest:
Vintage Omega are quite sturdy, but not like Rolex. Enicar's as well, but not their automatic (no problem, as spareparts are still easy to get). Certinas are very good.
