I understand completly Peter . I have also owned many expensive watches , that i could not relax with . Because a serious dent in the case would really cost me , and make it difficult to sell again.
I must be honest , i think that many so called dive watches , are really just dress watches that are to fucking big I consider the AP Offshore to be one of the most useless watches ever made . The case is a sratch and dent magnet . Gerald Genta meant that design for a dress watch not a pratical watch . I put the Rolex Deep Sea in the same catagory , it is just to highly finished and to thick . Many high end brands are absolutly useless when it comes to designing a watch meant for a special purpose . Rolex - Omega - Brietling - AP - Panerai - IWC etc etc make watches today that have to appeal to the general public . Practical design comes a long way down the list . I would go so far as to say that anyone who pays more than 30-40000 kr. for a basic time and date watch today , that they intend to use as a daily watch is wasting their money . I knew it would only be a matter of time before you got rid of the AP Icon_e_smile I have seen it so many times with people who have bought that Watch . Just look at how many Offshores and Deep Seas are for sale on the net . Icon_e_smile
