Of course it is overkill . But if people are willing to pay that kind of money for a simple Rolex worn by a famous actor , that is up to them . I think that in the future when nobody remembers the actor , the price will go down . But of course rarity as also got a lot to do with the high price . Rolex make so many watches that any watches not produced in large numbers will always be collector pieces . Personally i would never pay that kind of money for such an ordinary watch .
