Most modern watches are made and assembeld by a machine for christs sake . Where is the art in that ? It reminds me of the time i was a Royal Copenhagen porcelain painter . Tourists WHO came in to see us were impressed . For us it was just rutine copy Work . It is the same with 99% of all watches made today . Baun is right in many ways . The real value is only in the quality control of the different processes in the making of the Watch . The Citizen Campanola is hand polished by a guy WHO uses just his hands to do it . He has no Finger prints
Rolex is all about quality control and nothing else . There is absolutly no watchmaking skill used in the manufactering of a Rolex and most other bloody watches . It is just rutine .
The difference today between a Watch costing 5000 dkr and one costing 40000dkr is not that great at all . And lets face it everyone in the Watch trade knows it . So please do not try to insult my intelligence by saying something else . Brands are selling 5000dkr watches for 40000dkr , and WHO can blame them when we have so many people WHO believe everything they tell them .
