mowgly Skrev:Explain?A buyer has a choice between two watches , one with and one without papers . Guess which one he would chose . Even if you think you save a few thousand kroner on the watch without papers , why do it . You will also get a lower price when you sell it compaired to a watch with papers . It just gives a load of hassel just to save a few thousand kroner .
A vintage watch will always fetch a better price with papers in any auction , or privat sale . And it is easier to sell any watch with papers . Some dealers will not buy newer watches without papers .
The advantage of saving a small amount of money is cancelled out completly by the disadvantages it will give you in the long run . Their is a very good reason why dealers and privat sellers make a point of mentioning the fact that their watches have Box & papers . What individual experience tells you is without meaning in this case . It is the market that decides what is best . And that is B&P . Willy
