Forget the idea that brands like Rolex or Omega etc etc use a lot of handwork asembling their watches , because it is just not true .

In the case of Omega . ETA that is really a part of Omega make the calibers . And machines do the rest . The amount of handwork on most modern watches is very small indeed , although brands try to tell you a different story .

A very good watchmaker can assemble about 5 watches a week from start to finish . So work out how many watchmakers they need to make ca. 800,000 watches a year .

Any watch from high end brands like Patek - Lang - AP -- etc etc , use more time on the finishing of a watch . This is why you pay a fortune for them Willy
