Ok the truth as i see it . Baume & Mercier make low end luxury watches . The Riviera models are amongst their most well known . Their watches are not well known for their finish or workmanship . But they are ok watches that can give you years of use . If you buy a new one expect to lose 40-50 % of the new price straight away . And they are very very hard to sell or part exchange again . If you buy a used watch then you could get a bargain for the money , but never pay the asking price . Dealers can have their watches for sale for years . They are one of the most difficult brands to sell on the used watch market .
If you want my advice look at other watches before you buy a B & M . But if you like the watch and the price is right then its up to you . Good luck - Willy
