Rolex Service priser - stigning!!!

Hvis et BMW service lige pludselig fra den ene dag til den anden steg fra 6000kr -> 11000kr for præcis den samme vare så ville BMW folket også brokke sig!
Eller et tandrem skift steg fra 9000 - > 25000kr fra den ene dag til den anden så ville det nok også skabe røre!!
(Sammenligning med Oysterlænke pris stigning fra 3500kr -> 9500kr henover en nat i sidste sommer)

Hvor er vi så henne???

Skulle det så også være rimeligt hvis fjernvarmen steg til det dobbelte fra den ene dag til den anden fordi det ud i fremtiden kunne tænkes at være luksus at holde varmen om vinteren??

They have become to greedy and forgotten the loyal customers who put them where they are today . There will always be people who will pay through the nose for a product . Maybe because of branding or the snob effect of owning one amongst the general public .

But reputations can be destroyed on the net today much quicker than it took to earn them . I think Rolex have to be carefull in the future . I know there are many that say they are untouchable , and can sell everything they make . In my opinion this is bullshit .

Rolex are making close to 1000,000 watches a year and have been doing so for a long time . So the exclusive label is becoming less exclusive all of the time .

Today people in showbizz and top earners do not buy so many Rolex watches . They buy AP-Patek- Lang- etc etc . 40 years ago they would have bought a Rolex .

When you make as many watches as Rolex do today you are destroying the image of something special for ever . People from all walks of life wear Rolex watches today . This would have been unthinkable 40 years ago .

Look at a brand i personally do not like Hublot . They are one of the great success storys of recent years . Their design and marketing is on the way to making them as well known as brands that have existed for a hundred years . And they have taken a huge chunk of the high end watch market from other brands .

Rolex are not a leader at all in the development of new ideas or designs in the swiss watch industry . In fact they are the opposite of this , prefering to stick with conservative designs and simple easy to service calibers.

So anyone who thinks they are untouchable is not talking sense . They have a very very loyal fan base and i include myself here . But even loyal fans have a limit . And for me having to pay maybe 30% of the watches value every 5 years just to keep it in good condition is my limit . I will keep the two Rolex watches i have now because i like them , but i will not be buying another one . Four years ago i sent my Patek Aquanaut for a service , it cost me 8.500 DKK . This service was for a high end caliber that is finished to a very very high standard . It is not a caliber you should let your local watchmaker touch at all . I have seen the results of even good watchmakers efforts to service and oil a high end caliber, and it is not pretty . But a standard Rolex caliber can be serviced by any good watchmaker who can get the parts .

So to sum it up in my mind . Rolex are trying to screw me . But i for one will not be srewed and pay for it at the same time . Willy
