Its got nothing to do with marketing Per . I can agree that in the 1930 to 1950 period many watches could maybe compete with Rolex .

But when Rolex started making the Oyster cases with very robust calibers , they left all other brands behind them .

Certina made ok watches but they were no where near Rolex in build quality . Willy ps. And as for the debate Omega V Rolex .
Rolex won that debate where it counts , with professional users
