Brugen af Titanium har intet med den lettere vægt, eller for at undgå en ”tykkere” kasse – tværtimod!
Titanium er blødere end stål & deformerer derfor anderledes under ekstremt tryk.

I did not read it wrong at all.If they had not used titanium they would have course been forced to build a thicker case.Why do you think they used it for fun? Titanium is flexable and stronger than steel.I suggest you take a look at the monster old Rolex Deep sea.Or the Swiss 20.000 diver claus had for sale.That might give you some idea of just how thick the Rolex would have to be without the use of titanium.So we can sum it up like this in your opinion rolex could just as well built the case of 100% steel and still reached that depth.
