How precise a watch is does not say everything about its quality . I have heard of twenty year old Rolex watches that are accurate to 1 second a day . And a new Patek that could only present 4 seconds a day . Adjustment and the way people use their watches are the factors that count . And it is a fact that some cheap calibers keep excellent time . I for one do not care so much about a few seconds here or there . It is the handwork and skill involved with building the watch that intrests me . But i do understand the fascination people have of a mechanical watch keeping nearly perfect time . Was it not Thomas Edison who said ?
