To be honest i do not think that this debate can ever end . I have critizised just about every watch brand you can think of , at one time or another . No brand in the world make great watches all of the time , and it does not matter if they are called Patek - Lange - AP - IWC etc etc . People will in the end always make up their own mind . The most important is to give honest opinions based on what you know about watches . And i believe that everyone on this site knows how to google <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> If you do not believe what i write , start to google and then come with your arguments . Or read lots and lots of books about watches . And last but not least i still believe that AP have milked the Offshore models with so many limited editions . And yes it is in my opinion a useless dress diver . But it is also my opinion that it is much much better made than any Rolex you can name . The work and finish put into many watches in the same price range as Rolex is just as good or better . If you believe the Rolex is a well made watch you are right . But you can say the same about a Omega or a Sinn with a ETA caliber . There are many small brands out there that offer hand built beautifully made watches for the same price of say a Rolex Sub . And lets be honest when i was young it was special to own a Rolex . That is not the case today ! Willy
