Jeg har fået svar fra Seiko:
"First of all, we would like to inform you that the marking of "JAPAN" or "MADE IN JAPAN" is in absolute compliance with
The Japan Clock and Watch Association's standards. Although it means that we manufacture our products in absolute
compliance with the standards, the standards also allow for the fact that certain components of our watches may not be
fully sourced in Japan.
Due to the above reason, the case with the marking of CHINA is used for the watch. In addition, a number of variables,
including production efficiency, go into determining the manufacturing location of our watches as well as watch parts.
Even if the production site was once decided, it might occasionally change due to the different variables.
We apologize for being unable to provide any further information on this matter. However, whether the marking
"CHINA” is engraved on certain watch parts or not, you will agree that our watches are of impeccable quality.
We hope this answer your inquiry, even if it is not the answer you were hoping for.
With best regards,
Tomomi KAMBE, CS Dept.
SEIKO Watch Corporation"
Ikke et eneste ord om ridserne INDEN I bagkassen Måske man derfor stadig kan benævne det "unpeccable quality"
Jeg holder meget af Seiko, men lige nu, der har de fået en ridse i lakken - i hvert fald i min anseelse. Sorry ...
