As i understand the first quartz models from Rolex were made in 1970.I could be wrong but i have read this on the net.The first models made by rolex were only sold to special customers of Rolex.Maybe Gerald was one of them? Icon_e_smile Willy.PS.there are many common traits in the Oak and the Rolex
