Det er jo helt grotesk - man måtte jo tro manden laver grin, men nej - det gør han vel ikke. For de som ikke gider åbne links, skal teksten næsten med direkte så alle kan få gyset, jeg har lige fremhævet lidt for "humoren" i det
The dial and hands were reluminated green. I carefully removed the green luminous on the dial. That is why the dial has white minute markers. The minute markers are white from the original paint that Rolex used. After Rolex painted the dial white, they applied the luminous over the paint. I replaced the hands with a set of brand new gilt hands. The white luminous of the gilt hands matches perfect with the white minute markers. I cut the tip off of the seconds hand to give the seconds hand a vintage look. When I purchased the watch a year ago the bezel insert had already been replaced with a newer one. I love the look of the 5517 military version of the Rolex submariner so I replaced the bezel insert. Again the white dot on the insert matches the dial and hands. I used my lathe to put a perfect satin finish on the turning bezel. I satin finished the side of the case and the lugs to match. To give the watch a military look. This watch still has 3 dimensional lugs. I lightly polished the edge to bring out the angle. I purchased a brand new $175 Shell Cordovan NATO band for the watch. The band is in excellent condition will last the life time of the watch.
