No it is not true inhouse . But Patek -VC -AP for years marketed their watches with JLC base calibers as their own inhouse calibers . IWC have also done the same with their ETA and JLC calibers in the past . This tradition as been part of the Swiss manufacturer tradition for years . But before you could do this you had to make extensive changes to the base caliber . IWC have more right to call a ETA caliber their own in many ways , more than Patek or AP can with a JLC caliber. Because often PP or AP just finished the JLC caliber to their high standards and built a modul on to it . IWC rebuild the whole caliber and this is unique in the industry . It is in fact only in recent years people began to learn what was really inside their watches . PP- AP and IWC never felt the need to tell about their calibers , and ETA and JLC kept very quiet about it . It is the same with watch cases Patek never built their own watch cases in the past , another company did that . Then Patek bought the company a few years ago . Inhouse for me is the Quality built into a caliber . Omega are owned by the Swatch group who also own ETA who build special calibers for Omega . So you could say Omega is really true in house . But you still cannot compair a Omega ETA with a IWC ETA . Its very complicated Willy
