Omega In Box Kavalkade...

Jeg ved ikke om de vil hjælpe nede hos Omega. Jeg kan godt forstille mig at en del ure havde faste egne æsker, mendes andre måtte dele i en del fald. Jag har i alle fald idag skrevet til customer service hos Omega som følger:

On our Danish Omega forum on vinteageure.dk (Vintage watches) we have a discussion going about identifying certain boxes with specific watches, mainly for the period 1955 to 1980

Is it so that each model in a certain year – like Constellation – Seamaster – 30 mm, Geneve – Chronostop and so forth, all had their own box assigned – which followed the watch from you to the consumer, or could it be so that each shop in e.g. Denmark, when selling an Omega watch, took a “fitting” Omega box from a bigger choice of bow sizes, and used that for the watch?

In other words – should it be possible to always identify if a box is original to a certain watch, or will be it just as likely that any specific model (of same size e.g.) was sold in a number of varied boxes?

I could also imagine that certain models always came in their own assigned box, such as Speedmaster, Chronostop, whilst maybe Geneve, Seamaster – tank watches and so – were sharing a number of boxes.
